The first issue of ESSI's Orbitwise newsletter – a round-up of general space sustainability news from around the world – has been published.
It features details of 194 countries adopting a Pact for the Future which addresses international peace and security, sustainable development, human rights, and strengthening international cooperation for the exploration and use of outer space for peaceful purposes and the benefit of all humanity.
Elsewhere JAXA awarded a contract for Phase II of its CRD2 programme, there are updates on ESA's Cluster 2 and Sentinel-1B missions, and NASA established a Space Sustainability Division.
